I don’t actually hate this Nickelback song that much

Maybe it’s musical Stockholm syndrome from this band being so overplayed (And Americans, if you think you got it bad with the Nickelback airplay, you have never experienced Canadian radio, the Nickelback is even WORSE where I’m from because they’re also from my godforsaken province so everybody thinks they’re local heroes or something, but whatever), maybe it’s just that I have a shitty taste in music, maybe I’m an alien trying to fit in on Earth, I don’t know. But I like this song. Get off my back. At least I don’t want cars banned.

And, I think Train used to be a really good banned before shit like Hey Soul Sister. But that’s for another time.

the funniest is the station is called 89x and they can be a bit over the line in their radio shows, especially their morning show. People bitch to the FCC and say they’re saying things they shouldn’t.

Once or twice a day 89x plays a recorded clip something like “89X is broadcast out of Windsor Ontario and meets all the standards of the Broadcasting Act of Canada.”

There’s actually a loophole for Windsor area stations to not play AS MUCH Canadian content because of the proximity to Detroit.

The exemption from Can-Con rules is probably what stops a lot of Nickelback being played. A lot of Canadian stations LOVE playing Nickelback because it’s Can-Con.

I have that album on CD. (It was a christmas gift.) I didn’t hide it/throw it away/sell it. It is part of my CD collection. I even listened to it in the car a few times.
